This huge ancient image of what
is thought to be a horse was
made by carving away the sod,
exposing white chalk beneath it.
It is believed the culture revered
horses, especially white horses.

Oil painting depicting a slice of the

country lane. The earth in this
area is a bright red and resembles
a great gash.
Mount San Michelle, Normandie, France
A Benedictine monastery is built atop
a huge outcropping of basalt just off
the coast of North Brittany in the Gulf
of San-Malo. A small village has grown
up around the monastery. The tide
here rushes in at 15' high and cannot
be outrun, even by horses.
St. Michael's Chapel and Interpretive Guide to the surrounding vista atop the Tor (mound) in Glastonbury, England. An age-old mystical site that appears to have a large labyrinth carved into the sides of the striking mound that juts out of the landscape.
